The Challenge of Fragmented OT and IT Infrastructures
Digitalization is bringing OT and IT networks closer together. Belden addresses this with new solutions for connectivity, backbone switching and cybersecurity. Together, these innovations provide an integrated approach that prepares industrial networks for more data, higher availability and stronger security.
More sensors, more connected assets and stricter cybersecurity requirements are placing increasing demands on industrial networks. Organizations need an infrastructure that is reliable, scalable and secure without compromising production.
One Integrated Edge-to-Core Infrastructure
Belden's vision is built around four key building blocks:
• LioN-X IO-Link Masters for smart machine connectivity
• Hirschmann DAP849 Wi-Fi 6 for robust wireless communications
• Hirschmann GREYHOUND GRS2000 industrial backbone switches
• Belden Virtual Firewall TBF-800V for OT cybersecurity
Backbone Connectivity with Maximum Flexibility
The GREYHOUND GRS2000 series supports backbone connectivity up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It offers up to 34 configurable SFP+ ports. Each port can be equipped individually with RJ45, multimode or singlemode SFP modules for 10 Gigabit, 1 Gigabit or 100 Mbit, allowing the switch to match the infrastructure perfectly. Redundant power supplies and fans are available for maximum availability.
Cybersecurity for Modern OT Environments
The Belden Virtual Firewall TBF-800V is Belden's first virtual firewall. A typical application is protecting OT segments within data centers or virtualized environments. Organizations can evaluate the solution using a 30-day trial license.
In practice, we see customers looking for integrated solutions where connectivity, network management and cybersecurity work seamlessly together. The new Belden solutions fit this evolution perfectly.
